Color Change

It was bound to happen. I knew that one of my children was going to have issues with their behavior at school. Not bad issues - just issues. Cole is such a funny kid. He loves to talk and tell stories and he always has a comment about everything. He is having a hard time keeping the excitement of his knowledge to himself.

From the first day of school we have heard from several teachers (even ones that are not his) that he is a talker. This makes us laugh. Even today - Todd went to school to eat lunch with him and his teacher was saying "That Cole is a funny kid - he isn't a troublemaker, just funny." He came home with a color change today. For messing around in the hall (not for talking) right after lunch. Right after eating with Todd. Right after the excitement of having his dad come eat with him and bring McDonald's. He couldn't contain himself! Such a sweetheart.

We made him write a letter to his teacher apologizing for his behavior and letting him know that a letter isn't enough - he needs to mean it and stick to his decision to obey.
It has his teacher's name on the front and the inside says - I am sorry for getting in trouble, Cole.

Such a sweetie.
