Bike Rodeo

One of our favorite scout activities is the Bike Rodeo. It is the first activity Cameron did as a new scout last year. I can't believe it has been an entire year that he has been scouting. He loves it. ANYWAY - the older scouts put on a Bike Rodeo for the younger scouts and it really is a lot of fun. They have obstacle courses, relays, newspaper throws - just a fun family night. Here is a picture of the bikes lined up for the kids to ride - Cole brought his tricycle and Cameron and Macie had to share a bike because I can only fit one bike in the car - so - it had to be Macie's - and she has a pretty girly bike!
We (as a pack) are trying to get back to the more traditional way of having meetings by officially beginning each activity with a flag ceremony. It is great for the kids to learn the ceremony and show respect for our flag and country.

I love this picture! The scouts are supposed to salute when in uniform (here they are wearing their class B's) This picture is cute to me because Macie is saluting like a scout because she (in her own words) wants to be a boy scout so bad! So does Cole

This is where Collin spent the entire first hour of the Bike Rodeo - asleep in the car, in his chair, with the windows open, sweet baby
