Cole is playing a spring season of YMCA Flag Football. He had such a good time in the fall, he chose football over baseball. He is pretty sure he only wants to play football. It is his passion. He has become very good at playing the center. He loves to do the shotgun play. Again, he is the only person on his team able to do it.
This season we learned of a very special surprise for their first game. It was going to be at Cowboys Stadium! COWBOYS STADIUM!!! Needless to say – we were all very excited about that! We did have to purchase tickets, but we didn’t have to pay for parking. The ticket included a self guided tour and we all had access to the field. Our entire family came. Parents, siblings, cousins, everyone! The boys had their team and individual pictures made on the field before the game.
Todd thought it would be fun to shoe polish our car like you would for a championship game in high school. We had it done before we picked him up from school so he would be able to see it at dismissal (along with his friends). He thought it was pretty cool.
When we arrived on the field, we just spent some time exploring and taking pictures.
Some of the kids were distracted by the huge TV, jumbo tron or whatever it is called.
Cole became distracted when he was supposed to be stretching before the game.
He had run around so much he was a sweaty mess. I had to do a quick comb over on his hair before his picture. This was the best we could do!
Some pictures of the actual game …
Here’s to my future Dallas Cowboy. He was hoping there would be a scout at the game and he would go ahead and picked up for next season, but that didn’t happen. Maybe next time!
