She was nervous and excited all at the same time. The one good thing about this was 5 other girls from her GS troop were there - and they were all 'buddies'. Also - there was an older group there (4th graders) and about 10 girls from her school were there so she ended up knowing quite a bit of people.
They stayed in cabins/tents and there were four girls in each cabin - no counselors. They had their own cabin. So - that is completely different from church camp!!! I think she had a good time with the girls in her cabin. She said she cried some at night (breaks my heart) but that she was really ok. Her counselors said she did awesome!
Here she is with her buddy for the week, Annabelle. Macie said her favorite part about camp was when the snake was under their cabin and the counselors had to kill it with a shovel! They cut its head off! WHAT!!!! She thought that was so cool!
She had a great time. She sang us all the songs she learned on the way home (right before she fell asleep against the window) She took a long, hot shower and went right back to bed. She is one tired girl. I'm glad to have her back home, however, it's not for long. We get to do this all over again next week with Cameron and Macie when they go to church camp. *sigh* Why do the kids have to grow up?A
