we LOVE to feed ducks!!!

Our kids LOVE to feed the ducks - I'm not really sure what the appeal is - after so many times I would think it just gets old - however - the kids love it so we do it every now and then and they think it is a big treat. We had some old bread and crusts, even some hamburger buns - so these ducks had a feast. We had eaten lunch at Spaghetti Warehouse (had a free coupon) and then needed to go to Michael's to see about a gift card that my sister found to see if it had any money left on it (it didn't - bummer) so we went to the little pond by the mall ...

Collin and Todd - he actually got a little scared when one of the not afraid ducks jumped up onto the grass real close - he jumped

I have to say - it is pretty amazing that the ducks are not afraid of people - they know that people means food and they come from all over the pond if they know there is some good stuff being tossed in the water. The birds even get in on the action - and also the fish. We stood and watched as several fish were just attacking the bread from the under side and even coming out of the water - Cameron was mesmerized.
