Someone has decided that the Christmas Tree is actually his Birthday Tree since we decorated it on his birthday. He keeps getting angry with anyone who goes near it, It makes me laugh.
I love our Christmas Tree. We opted to put one tree up this year, instead of two. In the past we have a traditional tree with family decorations and a 'fancy' tree with color coordinated decorations. We took a vote and opted for a family tree this year.
Each year Nana lets the kids pick out an ornament (until age 10 - it gets expensive!) So - they line up their ornaments in order and hang them on the tree. I laugh at their choice of ornament each year - you can totally tell the phases they were in each year. We clearly had a Batman year.
We have had several Lightening McQueen years. Mater is a favorite!
Cameron went through a firetruck phase. We have a lot of antique firetruck ornaments on the tree.
Macie's ornaments range from birds, to snowflakes, High School Musical, and Disney princesses to her last one - a ballerina. She loves it.
The kids also voted to put the big bow on the tree this year, instead of the silver snowflake tree topper we used to do. We added some more homemade ornaments and gifted ornaments and called it complete. Now we just need to wrap some presents and get them under the tree!
