Well – last night we went to the Ranger Game as a family, and we had a rain delay – again!! It seems that all my Ranger games have been rainy in the past few years. Almost every time Todd and I have gone on date night it rains. So – now it rains on us a family, too. Oh Well – it makes for a fun evening.
It was family night for ACA and there were 480 people affiliated with our school at the game. We had two complete sections next to each other. It was looking to be a great game with a LOT of great friends, when it started pouring.
We were in the bottom of the first inning when we had to take cover. For two hours!!!
The boys hung out with a group of their friends, while Macie tried to dance in the crowd. We made her stop, but she had us laughing.
When we were allowed back in the stands and they started the game back up – we told the kids how lucky they were to see this game. Yu Darvish pitched for the Rangers and CJ Wilson pitched for the Angels (well – just for the first inning, because we trounced him big tine!) It was neat to see that!
We couldn’t stay for the whole game or the fireworks, it was 1030 when we left and they were only in the fourth inning. But – the kids had a blast and it was a night we won’t soon forget!
