LET'S GO METS!!

Sunday morning brought us to the kids first subway ride and to SHEA stadium (which will be torn down at the end of this season to make way for the new Citifield) to watch the METS and the St. Louis Cardinals play. It was a super fun morning and we made sure that we had a completely charged battery so there are plenty of pictures!

Todd talking with the kids on the subway platform letting them know how important it was to stay away from the edge - PLEASE!
Macie on the subway - don't know why this one is completely sideways - but it is cute anyway!
Cameron looked out the window the entire way. The 7 train takes you to Queens where the stadium is and for 85% of the way it is above ground on rails - pretty fascinating!
We asked Cameron to take our picture so we could avoid the whole - we took out own picture with our hand outstretched look - but it still looks that way - oh well - thank you Cameron!
Cameron at the game!
Macie at the game acting completely goofy! (go figure!)
After home games on sunday afternoon - they let the kids run the bases. What a Blast! It was rainy but the kids chose to do it anyway and they are so glad they did - they had a great time. Plus the fact that when they get older they will realize what a once in a lifetime moment that really was.
this is where they started to run the bases - right from first base
here they are rounding third - Cameron has the blue hat - Macie is in the white - they are running so fast - they blur!
Mr. Met - greeting everyone as they come to home plate. Macie and Cameron wondered if he knew the Rangers mascot - Captain. We are close personal friends with him!
It was a great game - the Mets won - and a long afternoon. We went home for a small rest and then dinner at ESPN Zone - another post for that to come later. Now - I need to go to sleep while I can!
