Cameron's Cub Scout pack joins the Arlington 4th of July Parade every year. Not as many kids get to participate because of other family activities - but we were able to make it this year. And - the fun thing was ALL the kids got to ride the float. We had to be there super early (7:30) to help finish the last minute decorations and be there for the judging of the floats. The parade started at 9. My mother was kind enough to wake up early and watch Collin, Cole was also still very tired so he stayed at her house and then his Aunt Kelly came and picked him up and brought him out later so he didn't have to be in the heat as long. We were float number 109 out of 145 or so. We pulled out of the staging area at 9:45 and did the two-mile route in 1 hour. They were also very excited because they saw several people they know in the crowd watching - Bonnie from my mother's office, MeMe, Tara, Kylie and their families and finally Aunt Stacy,
Uncle Favian, Ian and Elijah!! Really it wasn't so bad and before we even made it to the car they were all asking if we could do it again next year! I'm glad they had fun.
Before the parade - acting like they like each other!

This is the banner we have for our pack - LOVE IT!

Cole waiving his flag that was bigger than every one elses!

The three of them on the float

And finally - our flag - the symbol of FREEDOM!!
HAPPY FOURTH!!!!!!
